مرتكزات تأسيس الديمقراطية فى العراق من منظور الشباب الجامعى : دراسة ميدانية

This study attempts to answer the question: Did the actions of the Iraqi authorities and the approach taken to manage the country contribute to changing the attitude of young people towards democracy as it is currently presented? The study adopted the descriptive approach to data collection, analysis and interpretation. This approach is suitable for such studies . The study reached a number of results, most important of which is the awareness of the dimensions and concepts of democracy among the university youth group. It was revealed by the majority of respondents what democracy is, and the belief that it is the most appropriate option for change for the better. These young people considered that the primary was efficiency as a criterion for election. The rest of the pillars came from respect for the rights of minorities in society, freedom of opinion, thought and expression, separation of powers, equality and justice for all, Unions and associations, respectively. The most important recommendations were the need to work to strengthen democratic and national building in various channels, which helps to form positive social attitudes and values ​​among young people in the fields of ethics, religious, educational and other. And the assignment  of  specialized institutions to develop curricula for the initial stages taking into account the creation of the spirit of creativity, and the sanctification of democracy, as a major social value in society.
